welcome to my genesis

A new beginning of my life, becoming a mom in my early 20s while also being a new wife so early in my life brought with it both excitement and challenges, but also a deep sense of purpose and growth that I never expected. This is my first ever blog post and I am so excited to share my journey of motherhood and womenhood. I’m Angie and I married my high school sweetheart when I was 20. We have been together since freshmen year and I couldn’t imagine anyone else to be my best friend and father to my child. Ever since I was little I always wanted to be a mom or do something involving children and education. My world changed once I became a mom and I couldn’t see my life any other way. Before I became a mom I got my 2-year degree in Elementary Education as well as a semester in Dietetic Technology. I then continued my studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth in Elementary and Special Education.

my Story

I decided that I was going to start this blog as I am a stay-at-home mom who has too many ideas that I want somewhere for them to go. Creating special moments with your child when you don’t have time to plan out activities or books or much of anything other than surviving. I gotcha covered for all things motherly.

My goal is to create a space for all things a mom would need on short notice. From routines tailored for stay-at-home moms to last-minute dinner ideas that are tasty and low-budget. So far the content I have been working on is simple crafts and activities, it is labeled as “lesson plans” but don’t let that intimidate you as you can select whatever you have time for. All these lesson plans can be aged up too for kiddos and those options will be included on the posts as well. I also want to introduce a section for all things mom-related, whether it be a self-care day, some tips on running a household, or whatever else comes my way to share on this platform. I love to cook for my family, what can I say I’m a foodie and so is my little dude. I also set aside a place to include some of the recipes that I have collected and make my own over the years, along with some of my Nonna’s recipes.

promising preposition

I know there are many mom blogs out there but I thought I would test out my knowledge and skills to provide well-thought-out posts relating to what I love most: family, food, and teaching. I am a first-time mom to one child but I won’t be for very long as we plan to expand our family. This blog is also a journey for me to document and share with others what has worked in finding these moments to be a mom with my kid.
